Born into an influential family, Haille learned the hard way that life isn't all it seems. Things may appear picture perfect, but that very same image can be ripped in half at a moment's notice. Her father, Luciano Felipe Caliendo, owned one of the largest vineyards in Tuscany. Her mother, Rachael Beatrice, was a doting wife, loving mother, and a pillar of the community. Her sister, Angelina Maria, was a typical ten year old, learning with her older sister, the tricks of the trade her father spent a lifetime learning. Luciano, Rachael, and Angelina were brutally murdered during a Sunday outing, forever changing the course of Haille's life, and sending her, careening, into the arms of Lukah Antonio Moracelli, Jr.

That was twelve years ago, and time never has the tendency to stay still. The murder of her family had come from none other than Lukah's father, who had designs on the famous Caliendo vineyard, La Rosa Scura. Having discovered the true story behind the death of all she knew, only a year and a half into wedded bliss, Haille left Italy behind, and made her way to New York. La Cosa Nostra had a way of taking a weary and frightened girl, and making her into a street wise, savvy, business minded woman-- forever shedding the naivety that had only led to heart ache and loss. Not only her family, but her husband as well.

The name Haille had been left to die with that mouse of a girl, and instead, the persona of Belladonna was adapted. Button, capo, sotto, or Donna, she had proven herself many times over to the male dominated world of mafiosa, and had little to no plans of ever turning her back on that which had been her saving grace. A Midas with any venture that was noticed along the way, it wasn't too long before those that had betrayed her.. paid with their lives.

After all, nothing less can be accepted for the death of youth and innocence.
